Doctors, specifically surgeons..however are another thing. Most of them think they’re friggen god and they can treat you like crap. problem is they can get away with it.

Your assessment of physicians and surgeons is a tad harsh. like the entire thread suggests there are arrogant folks in every walk of life but working in the medical field (and also my Dad is a Dr.) I can tell you that the arrogant/certain ones are the ones I want as my surgeon when it comes time to be cut into. Bedside manners may suck but their abilities are outstanding, perhaps that extreme confidence in what you are doing is a requirement for that type of success. If one has the courage to speak their mind back to these people they usually are rewarded with respect so deserved. Correct they are NOT GOD, so let them know it but appreciate what they do, have done or may do to save lives.

They’re lied to, threatened, shot at, hit up, you name it. Would you be so nice and polite to every person you pull over or deal with, when those things happen to you regularly>? I work for trauma surgeons, but I’ll tell you that with all the horrible things they see, and all the horrible people they deal with, they are no less compassionate. (In fact, they’re the best group of doctors I’ve ever worked for). It might seem that way to others, but they have to learn to step back and assess every minute detail of every situation ((if they value their lives)).

However I did have this practice with a man who knew of my interest in a man in uniform said he was in law enforcement.
He was a rent a cop(security guard) at a university and met me for the date in “uniform” telling he was in same league with police!
Now that was interesting.
Yeah, guess I learned my lesson cuz now the UPS dude is haning round! lol
